| Chou Wei Dove Vanish Temple The magician shows a small cabinet and then opens the front and back doors allowing a view right through to show it to be empty. The cabinet may be shown all around with both doors open. A dove is now placed inside and the doors are closed. The cabinet is now hung elevated on a thin wooden stand. Keep in mind the stand is footed, so you can see under it completely and the cabinet itself is elevated well above the stand so you can see under it, too. In this suspended state there doesn't seem to be any possibility for deception, mechanical or otherwise. Despite this, the magician waves his wand and then immediately opens the cabinet to reveal a large silk (will hold a 12"X 24 foot streamer, if desired,) the dove having completely vanished. All four doors may be opened and the cabinet shown all around. There is no dove in sight anywhere; the perfect transformation. |
